C. Eliott Johnston is a Chattanooga, TN-based “shadetree” cultural theorist with opinions about the interplay between Post/Metamodern culture and Aesthetics, Theology, Sociology, technology, and Economics. Once described as “The World’s Smartest Busboy” by restaurateur/philosopher, Dino Thompson, much of Christopher’s graduate and professional research work has focused on subjects related to technology's impact on maladaptive intra and interpersonal behaviors. Christopher has worked in strategic, management, or production capacities in the interactive design field since 1998 and is the Founding Principal of Johnston Advisors and a visiting Adjunct Professor for Interactive Design at Covenant College. Some of his past clients include Google Jigsaw, Microsoft, The Atlantic, Duke University, GlaxoSmithKline, Whole Foods, Seiko, Pepboys, First Things, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the Federal Aviation Administration.

On a more personal note, Christopher is in both theory and practice a follower of Christ, a husband hopelessly in love with his best friend and wife Erin, and a father to two amazing (adult) kids. Being a NSCA CSCS holder, Christopher nurses a profound interest in human performance and biochemistry—useful for coaching both powerlifting and highland games athletes, adores music, and is a keen collector of niche and designer fragrances, watches, and Hi-Fi audio equipment. His current stereo consists of a vintage McIntosh MC2105, McIntosh C38, Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo, Denon DCM-460 and iPad streamer fed into a TEAC UD-301, restored Ohm Walsh 4’s, and a Polk PSW300.
